I didnt fuck up anything when I set up my multi boot shit -- Vista(Primary, hardly use it), XP, and Ubuntu.
Pretty simple, IMO.

This is an old thread on their forum - so people like Kaiser probably already know about this. Even if you're not into linux or geekish enough to know what "virtual windows" means - you'll still find it pretty cool.
I'm THINKING about doing it, as I just ordered a new hard drive to use as my main drive. A buddy of mine is pushing me to do it, says that it works out sweet at his office...but duno. I'm bound to fuck something like this up. I develop web sites, not linux bs
We'll see.

I would like to boot linux (preferably ubuntu or suse) from a flash drive. I'm too lazy to check the interweb for help, so if anyone can give me some tips or help to getting it to work please 2 post them!

oh and good link there spyder. good stuff.
Not the same thing, friend. Look at the link...especially the screenshots. Notice the Ubuntu taskbar at the top and windows taskbar at the bottom. I'm talking something like running both at the same time, on the very same instance. Running linux programs and windows programs from the same desktop. Not quite the same as mutliboot.Originally Posted by limppimp

Seems cool. I would typically use vmware for that, but I did not know about virtualbox.
Good to have lots of memory for this. Would be nice to have this, as I many times need to test a windows app connected over a network to my linux box.
