In the meantime, if you have a model other than the new slim PS3, we advise that you do not use your PS3 system, as doing so may result in errors in some functionality, such as recording obtained trophies, and not being able to restore certain data.
As mentioned above, please be advised that the new slim PS3 is not affected with this error. We are doing our best to resolve the issue and do apologize for any inconvenience caused.

maybe, tbh i havent played the other two.

Pick the new remastered games. It only cost $40 and they are pretty good games. Going by the article I wouldn't say the ps3 fat is getting pwned, It's already back up and running. At least it hasn't damaged $180 worth of games like my 360 did when they sent it back after it prod and they gave me a bad dvd disk drive.

it was erasing data(games saves, etc) and not giving trophies due to time discrepancies with the ps3 and the PSN servers.

i own the glorious 80gb fat model with backwards compatibility and all i got was the error message, then i checked 3 hours later and it was fixed in the meantime. Also gow3 (y)
