    that wont run hl2 very well

    the 256mb radeon 9600xt can be had for about $90 american depending where you look. id go with that.

    a 9600xt and an athlon 1700 would run hl2 fine.

    limppimp has a 1.6ghz p4 and a geforce fx 5700 and his runs hl2 good.
