good ps2 games

I would like to know some great ps2 games, both new and old, that are worth buying. Ive had a ps2 for a long time, but rarely ever play it because I dont have any games worth playing. The last game I bought was Black, and in all honesty that was nothing more than a below average shooter IMHO.

So if any of you could recommend a few good games, please post them here!

Also, for some reason I enjoyed the Dynasty Warriors series. The gameplay gets really repetitive, but I liked that fact that there was soooo many fucken characters (proabably 50ish) to play as. The weapon system was good, and the storyline was quite deep.

But it's a hack and slash, so it might not hold most people's interests for too long. I enjoyed them, though. By them, I mean up to Dynasty Warriors 5, including like six billion "expansions" released. I dunno if there's a DW6 on the way... but probably.


Oh, btw, my PS2 has like an inch of dust on it. It gets used as a DVD player sometimes, but other than that... wrls.

I do hate Sony, and I now hate them even more because I cant find one goddamn decent game to buy for my ps2 I haven't used in fucking years.

God of War, and in March buy God of War 2. I rather play God of War 2 then any of my other Xbox 360 games. The first one was very impressing. It's based around mythology. Very good story btw. Pretty much my last game for PS2 is the 2nd one.
