Ever since I tried Opera I have been using it and I was an avid IE user for a long time (lol ask Buk). I tried Firefox several times and just didnt' care for it. I didnt' like the fact that most of the things in IE and Opera were not built into Firefox, instead I had to go DL extentions to add them.

Edit: Here is the perfect fuken example of Firefox being useless. In the 4D forums some were complaining about the ad thing that Joel has added (it slows the forums down). Kaiser (mozzila) Soze posted that he was going to try and block it in Firefox..... how? by downloading an extention (adblock). Oddly enough I look in Opera and there is a built in feature to block websites. See what I mean? It's a feature already added to Opera but in Firefox you have to go dl some bs "extention".



BTW: if you use Opera and do not want to see the ads on the 4D RUlers forums simply do this:

* Open Opera
* Click on TOOLS
* Scroll down to ADVANCED > BLOCKED CONTENT
* Add this: http://ads.clicksor.com/showAd.php?p...ype=2&zone=341

I NEVER thought I would convince m00man to switch, he was the biggest supporter of IE i have seen in years, but he actually did take the plunge and downloaded Opera..The rest is history.

Opera is VERY configurable, I hate the default settings but once ya tweak it the way ya like it its very hard to use another browser, i love having 5 pages in the same window open at the same time, and its fuckin FAST.

Personally I use Firefox and Opera about 50/50, i use FireFox mostly when I do porn and spoof, RefSpoof is a kickass extension and I download a boatload of porn using RefSpoof.

I just loaded XP in this POS comp i got for free and I had to use IE to download FireFox and Opera, thats the first time i saw IE in a long time, i certainly wont ever use it again unless i absolutly have to.

When i run Linux i use Opera about 90% of the time, if you see how fast it is in XP you should see how fast it is in Linux.

i like the adblock in FF alot better. it is far superior. it even has a way to subscribe and get updated filters automatically every day. you never have to right click and block things manually.

but all in all they're both really good browsers.

The thing ya havnt figured out yet is they are pretty much the same thing now, OS X is based on Unix, actually OSX is Linux with a nice GUI.
