I stopped reading at Comcast. A company such as Verizon might do something like this, but I wouldn't expect a shit hole company such as Comcast to give a fuck about their customers who want speeds such as this.

I dunno about that..DSL in the U.S is very slow compared to cable.

And Verizon only offers DSL as far as i know, the fiber-optic lines are very rare to find, Verizon as well as all the cable companies are laying fiber-optic, but not fiber-optic to the door,its just to costly to do it everywhere, fuck, some places cant even get low quality DSL yet (Spyder)

I used to have a 9600 baud modem and I thought it rocked, then came 1200-1440-2800-5600, this was the limit with the regular phone lines, the same is true with DSL if you are to far from the Central Office, cable doesn't have this problem.

All i know is any increase in speed is gonna cost the consumer more cash.

I have three tenants that went with the SBC-Yahoo package, Dish, Phone and Internet.

SLO ASS and the same price as Comcast's $99 package.

Well, 150 MBPS is *clearly* the ideal condition...I'm sure they hooked up everything ideal for the promotional, that's not how it'd turn out in an average joe's home.
