the messenger 8.0 is in beta and is invite only apparently. a workaround has been created so here you go.
install the "Install_messenger_beta.exe" file first. when its done it will try and long you in, but it will say a newer version is available. tell it no you dont want to update. then install the other file. login.

not sure if i like this version or not. ill have to mess with it a bit more though.
