    takes to much time to scroll up i have a huge list in start/programs... much easier i just put what i most use on the desktop

    I generally don't have many shortcuts on the desktop, the computer i was on at the time is my messy one, it'd time to clean it up a bit.

    not really any shorter.

    dble click icon or click application menu/application

    2 clicks either way. well for gnome atleast. windows should be the same. start/allfiles/etc
