I think it's a step in the right direction, but is it too late? If we withdraw US troops could it take a turn for the worst and possibly Al Qaeda govern the region or what good could come of this in Iraq, maybe their current government mnight stop being idiots and us their army and police officers to enforce local law / keep out any unwanted company (al qaeda?) Maybe us leaving will get the suicide bombers over there to stop bombing public places, what if our troop withdrawal makes kittens wander the streets and flowers bloom from pavement over there? This could be a great decision or a not-so-great decision TBH. I think it might be too late.

Iraq is in civil unrest, over the government (we put in place), Sunnis and Shiites etc, oh and the fact that we are occupying their country; that's why there are suicide bombings there.

Most of the time I don't mind Dest posting useless pix in threads ... but I kinda cbf him doing it in threads that are serious. DEST: just because you don't use your brainz doesn't mean others want to put up with your bs when you don't understand things.

I think congress will probably back down (speaking largely of the Democrats too). They did the first time despite running for re-election/election on that platform - and realized they just bit the hand that feeds them and 78% of Americans think it is bullshit, so they're trying this again to try to get their votes. The President will hold strong saying they're ruining our resolve and whatnot, and eventually they will back down. They have no spines.

Ron Paul for President IMO. The guy has a goddamn backbone of steel and has beliefs that align with most Americans.

LOL forgot about that...and yeah, backbone of steel is a definate plus because it hardly exists now. There are a few things I don't agree with him on, like he opposes net neutrality, but I'm willing to take a hit because I agree with him on many other issues. Besides I'm sure minds can be changed.

Well what I like about him is that he tells you what he believes and that's what you get. Not politicians who say they believe something just to get the most amount of votes and once they get voted in, they focus on their own agendas.
