TBH, you really can't go wrong with any XFX you get, I have 2 of them in my system and they run great. I started this list off with a few ASUS and found XFX to have better cards for less money - cool IMO.

The top 2 listed are the best - and the bottom 2 aren't really much cheaper, especially when they're not as good...but I included them for variety. FUCK YOU.


+ ZipZoomFly fuckin rox friend. They ship practically everything free and always have pretty good deals. I got my MOBO for like $100 less than New Egg (which I VERY rarely use since it seems to always be more expensive than TigerDirect and ZipZoomFly - but sometimes they have items the other ones don't) and they ship really fast too.

You can go to Bestbuy.com thought and find a video card you want and get me the SKU number so I can check the price for you. I wouldn't save a whole lot on a video card as there isn't a very high markup. My discount is 5% higher than what BestBuy pays (the wholesale price).

The fan on my Nvidia 5700 Ultra 128mb is fucking up, so I disconnected it so it wasn't so noisy, now the damn thing just runs fucking hot. lmao. Just have the heatsink now

Hey, did u see this site about getting the Radeon 9000 cards to work with ubuntu 7.04 to get accelerated 3D and Beryl working(3D animated desktop).

Try this HOWTO, it's pretty straightforward and easy:
