They do a better job and they have that OneLink, which is a dedicated phone line for DSL w/o any phone service.
At least DSL is almost always constant bandwidth, whereas Cable can suck ass at peak times (like anytime u wanna get on the internet), and they often way over-saturate the lines before upgrading.
DSL uses a star topology, which makes it much easier to upgrade for increase bandwidth usage cause u only need to upgrade the hardware at the central office. Cable uses a bus topology, which means they have to make a lot of upgrades near the house to increase bandwidth. The dumbass next door can bring ur internet to a crawl.
Basically, it's the different btwn a router and a switch. I have 10Mb/1Mb Cable, and I wish I had 1M/256k DSL instead.
