Not with mine, but my brothers.

He bought a standard laptop at best buy, and after a few months it randomly stopped letting him log on saying he "needed to activate windows" all it leads to is a telephone number where he calls and gives the activation code, which never works, or activate online; which also never works. The only other option is to bring it back to the retailer and get assistance (dunno wtf they'd do) so I ask you friends, what is the solution?

    According to Microsoft's help docs

If you cannot establish an online connection by using your modem or an Internet connection, the wizard prompts you to contact a customer service representative to activate your copy of Windows XP by telephone.

This is for XP though - duno if he got vista or not.

If there is no wizard or you are too stupid to find it - just call MS support.

That's what I told him to do...I was just looking for solutions without him having to do that. He is really busy irl, and it's a rare occasion he has the extra couple hours to actually go out and do that. (go to BB, that is.)

Anyways, ty for your assistance sirs.

there really isnt much else you can do if neither validation works. i mean you could get the hax bypass but you dont really need to since you are supposed to have a legit copy. this is a BB problem i think.

when you take it to BB put a gif on your desktop of tubgirl or something and name it "girl friend naked"
see if the 'last modified" tag has changed between the time you give it to them and the time you opened it.
