Since there is no discussion in this section, even though Creative and Gump promissed this would be thriving, I'm going to go ahead and post this same bullshit question everyone has been argueing about for goddamn years.

So, which is better in your opinion?

I can't really say. I never owned an N64, which I deeply regret. I did however play a LOT of Goldeneye at friends' houses. The first time I played Perfect Dark for N64 was last year. I'd choose Goldeneye, but it'd be biased. :/

Perfect Dark and Goldeneye both fucking raped faces. I'd say honestly that Perfect Dark was a better game, but it was basically a copy of goldeneye with a few extra nice features and better graphics.

So the Goldeneye was 33 months old by the time Perfect Dark came out. Perfect Dark was able to take advantage of the expansion pack as well, which made a huge difference when it came to graphics and detail on the maps.

It's a copy, but it is a perfect copy with some very slight improvements.

Makes it a better game IMO.

Perfect dark isn't a copy, it just uses the same game engine from the same developers. Thats like saying Heretic and Soldier of Fortune are the same game, or like saying Rainbow Six 3 and XIII are the same game. Infact, two years before the release of Perfect Dark most of Rare had quit to form Free Radical, and it was basically a brand new team working on Perfect Dark. You could tell some of the textures were recycled, and some of the music was remixed from GE, but the story was 110% origional.

When it comes down to multiplayer, GE is obviously more fun, but as far as single player is concerned, its a pretty tough decision. For being release three years earlier and being just as fun, I'd have to give the advantage to GE, but PD introduced co-op and counter-op. I'm not sure if any of you guys ever had the chance of playing co-op PD, but it was one of the best single player gaming experiences I've ever had.

Did you even play Perfect Dark? Some of the multiplayer levels were used in both games, but the single player levels were not even close to being the same.
