Goddamnit jim - bots are goddamn annoying and your servers are all laggy.

Warez server + Gore server = fail.

That CA server is running 3 gore servers and that's it.

It has 100mbit Dedicated and never gets above 10% network utilization.

right now there is 19 people in 2 of the servers and its not even using more than 2.5mbit (2.5%).

My other braudband.net server is still in st Louis for my personal use , and is staying there.

I've noticed people saying there is lag when there is none at all, but then i noticed my graphics lag when there is a lot of people playing, is that what happens to you ?

i get quality ping of 24, with no lag what so ever.

Yes.

Typically with 10ish+ people in the server. I'm in California on a pretty solid broadband connection - but this is typically the time when my ping fluctuates a lot as well

That isn't the server that does that...you will have to ask Lead why this happens.. Its the same effect you get if you look at someone standing against that fence in Brooklyn brawl.
The server is in LA and you're at the other end of CA, that's why your ping would be going up and down. In a shared server you would get a steady ping, but it would be the higher one.

I'm near San Fransisco - but I'm not sure what your point is on shared servers having more stable pings. Game servers are all hosted in data centers with a pretty hefty backbone...unless yours is not?

its with oc3networks, they use some pretty decent backbone carriers:

Shared hosts will have some kind of flow control that doesn't let you get that little bit less latency that my server is giving(the lower of the two fluctuating pings), saving some bandwidth for the others hosted on the same machine
Even if some pings fluctuate there is still no lag. I can play for hours on end with a 160 - 177 ping without any lag(the type where you freeze in place and then start moving really fast all of a sudden or when rockets or bullets lag, which is a connectivity issue)

Also i realized with Gore SE, msn messenger bogs your ping down hella hard, so if you are playing, make sure to log off anything else thats going to eat your shit up.
