overheating?
I'd say it's more likely a sensor problem and your computer is not actually overheating. Also make sure to check in your bios and verify the temperature there and also check to see if your fans are running at the proper RPM. I had an issue awhile ago where my CPU fan was plugged into a case fan power connector which somehow caused my motherboard to think it was running around 40 degrees hotter than it really was.
I also have an issue where my computer turns off when I run blizzard updater but I've chalked that up to being goddamn shit software since I don't have that problem running anything else.
gpu or cpu overheat, clean that shit out, if clean, leave case open and run fan programs to prolong life as long as you can, if not, you're shithouse and you better fork over your weed money to get a new rig.
ok it was really dirty, so i cleaned it out and opened it up and put a big fan blowing into it. keeps it at about 60c, but if i close it up and turn off the big fan it goes back up to 90-100c.
How do i know what the right rpm for my fan is? it was avging like 1400-1700 rpms.
use a program like riva tuner and follow a tut on keeping the fan speeds automatic depending on temperature in the comp.
make sure the heatsink fins are free of dust clogs too.
